In August of 1480, after 15 days of combat, the Turks invaded Otranto, they plundered the houses, persons massacred tantissime.

They made prisoner all the people and they asked the Otrantini
to abandon the faith of Christ and to embrace that one of Allah,
for having in exchange the same life.
The Otrantini, firmly, did not accept the 14 proposal and August 1480
they were beheads to you on the Hill of the Minerva.
